Roger Federer plays 400th grand slam match

Roger Federer earlier today became the first man or woman to play 400 Grand Slam matches, and improved his career record at the biggest tournaments to 345-55.
Federer reached the fourth round of the French Open with a 6-3, 6-1, 7-6 (8) win over Casper Ruud, a player whose father was in the draw when Federer made his French Open debut in 1999.
He is playing in the French Open for the first time since 2015. Federer won the tournament in 2009 and has been runner-up on our other occasions. He has also won Wimbledon 8 times, the Australian Open 6 times and the US Open 5 times.
No male player has ever won more grand slam tournaments than Federer’s 20.
